In the 2015-16 school year, Bracher had an after school Chess Club and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) program.  For the 2016-17 school year, the PTA is currently working with Principal Leach to add other programs that would enrich and benefit the entire Bracher community. Stay tuned for more details!

5.  What is the school policy on birthday parties?

Organized parties are not part of the school instructional day.  Special arrangements can be made with the individual teacher Rather than food, we would prefer you donate a book in your child's name to the library. According to District policy, non-nutritious food, such as cupcakes, may not be brought to school for student treats.  Due to many allergies among students, homemade goods should not be shared.

6.  What are Bracher's aftercare options?

There are 2 onsite aftercare options at Bracher, Bracher Extended Day Care Center and YMCA.

7.  How do I volunteer in my child's classroom?

Santa Clara Unified Board Policy 1240 encourages parents, guardians and other members of the community to share their time, knowledge and and abilities with students.  In order for a person to volunteer at school or on field trips, a completed volunteer packet must be admitted to the school office including emergency information and documentation of current TB test clearance.  Volunteer applications must be renewed each year.  Volunteer application packets are available in the school office.
